A lady asked one time, “How do we know the Bible is not a myth? The church building is real and the rituals are tangible, but how do we know the original beliefs upon which these are founded weren’t fairy tales?” Then she added, “And don’t use Scripture to prove Scripture!” In essence, she was voicing the key complaint of skeptics: “the authors of the Bible were all insiders, already sold on the system. The Meaning Of Biblical Faith

To many people, faith is something you conjure up, something you will into existence, something you hope to be true. It’s this “you have your truth and I have my truth” notion. You determine your own reality and beliefs are a synonym for preferences, having little to do with truth. In the words of one man, “tolerance is the value of those without convictions.” But biblical faith is much different.
